It is characteristic that the centuries of prosperity of the Ottoman Empire are called the tulip centuries, also the airlines of the City have the tulip as their emblem and the first prize of the Istanbul International Film Festival is the golden tulip.” Tulips combined with the Blue Centaurs creates the “Ode to the Ego…” The deeper meaning of the combination is the horses of Constantinople with the horses of mythology (Centaurs).
