Description
Wall-mounted forged decorative silver olive wreath with golden fruits in a frame by Nikos Dermitzakis. A forged decorative frame in earthy colors that gives a more classic note to the space. For the ancient Greeks, the olive tree symbolized the Olympic ideal, which is why the Olympic champions crowned with a wreath the so-called “Kotino”, made from the olive branches, which existed in Ancient Olympia inside the temple of Hera, the so-called “kallistephanos elaia”. Forging was the first way people discovered to process metals thousands of years ago. They struck a piece of metal with a hammer on a hard surface (in most recent years the hard surface is a steel anvil), and the metal with the blow became thinner and longer. In this way, the wire and the plate were created, on which the further processing of metals was carried out. The creator Nikos Dermitzakis constructs forged interior decoration decorations with a diverse range of themes that include pair forms, nature, figures, three-dimensional and sea themes. The creator still seeks, through forged handmade creations, his emotion and immediate challenge.
