Stuffed “The Lord Strong.” Roger Hargreaves is the man who created the beloved and multi-translated series of children’s books “Little Gentlemen, Little Ladies”. Mr. Tickle was the first character he created and released in England in 1971. In the 1970s, another 38 “Little Gentlemen” were released, while “Little Ladies” appeared in 1980, with the first book being The Lady Authoritarian (Little Miss Bossy). Roger Hargreaves made 21 more female characters by 1988, and then the reins of the series were taken over by his son, Adam.
