Description
It is a bear found in central-western and southwestern China. He is easily recognized by the large, characteristic black spots around his eyes, ears, and along his round body. Although it is classified in the class of Sarcophagus, it feeds 99% on bamboo. Everything in nature sporadically eats other types of plants, wild bulbs, or even meat in the form of birds. In captivity (national parks/zoos), they sometimes eat honey, eggs, fish, sweet potatoes, shrub leaves, oranges or bananas along with specially prepared food. Everything is kind of at risk. A 2007 report showed that 239 pandas live in captivity within China and another 27 outside the country. Estimates of the wild population vary: One estimate showed that there are around 1590 individual pandas in the wild, while a 2006 study through DNA analysis estimated that this number should be from 2000 to 3000. Some reports also indicate that the number of pandas in nature is increasing. Panda as a symbol is used internationally. And as such it is widely used within China in an international context, such as the five mascots of the Beijing Olympics. It is a rather lovable animal, due to its peaceful character, but also its appearance. How could it be missing from the collection of hand spray antiseptics!
